Chocolate covered strawberries are a fresh product and they are at their absolute best within 24 hours of being made. After that, the strawberry inside begins to release moisture, which softens the chocolate coating and affects the texture.
At La Fraise, every box is made on the day of delivery. When you receive your order, the strawberries will be at peak freshness. Here is how to get the most out of them:
Refrigerate immediately if you are not eating them right away. Place them in an airtight container or keep them in their original packaging and store in the coolest part of your fridge.
Avoid leaving them at room temperature for extended periods, especially in Dubai's climate. Heat and humidity accelerate the softening process significantly.
Consume within 24 hours for the best taste and texture. After 48 hours, the strawberries will still be safe to eat but the quality will have declined.
Do not freeze them. Freezing alters the texture of the strawberry and causes the chocolate to crack and separate upon thawing.
The short shelf life is part of what makes freshly made chocolate covered strawberries special. They are not designed to sit on a shelf they are made to be enjoyed on the day.
